I can't believe it has been so long since we have updated. Last time we posted, the main issues we were dealing with were sleep and poop. We have now narrowed it down to one main issue of sleep, and that is actually starting to get better! Noah has slept through the night a couple of times now and is finally figuring out how to self soothe! yay!
Here's some updates on Noah:
He is now 8 months old. He can crawl, sit himself up, and pull himself up to standing. He babbles lots of sounds, most frequently "Ba" "Ma" and "Ga". We don't think he has said a first word yet, but we're pretty sure it's going to be "Mama". He has become very attached to mommy and wants to be with mommy every second.
Noah is very curious. He doesn't want to miss anything. He came into this world with his eyes wide open, and doesn't ever want to close them (see the last post on his fight against sleep). He is a very friendly baby and will give strangers and friends his biggest and best smiles. He is a HUGE flirt and loves to be the center of attention. When he is not the center of attention, he can get a little cranky. He is very easy to take out in public as he is so busy watching everything and interacting with everyone, that he forgets to be cranky. He is really very content at all times except when it's time to go to bed - he is very vocal that bedtime is something he has NO INTEREST in. When he does sleep, he likes to be cuddled. He is a great cuddler.
He is still being breastfed, which has been great for both mommy and baby. He has started eating solids and really enjoys them. Noah loves to eat and is pretty indiscriminate. That's the only other time he gets mad - when there is no more food in the baby food jar! He has been diagnosed with allerigies to milk, soy, egg, peanut, and cashew. Mommy tries to eat these food on a limited basis to build up a tolerance. We will go to the Dr. again when he turns one for more testing, but for now, he can't have anything with those ingredients. We also recently let him on the grass for the first time, and he reacted pretty strongly, so we think he is also allergic to grass. We are trying to prepare for what this might mean as best as we can and keeping our fingers crossed that he will outgrow it.
We have really enjoyed these last 8 months and can't believe how fast it has all gone! We just moved into a new place and are adjusting to the new surroundings!
And we'll try to update more often!
