21 weeks and almost summer!

It seems to me that we are doing a post about every two weeks as we watch the belly grow - and boy is it growing!  Here is our 21 week shot:
Things are going really great - after going into Babies R us a few weeks ago and running out scared out of our minds, we went back last weekend to register for some things.  I'm now starting to get really excited to meet this little thing growing inside me and I can't wait to use some of the things we've decided would be great for the baby.  I'll do a post later showing off all the stuff we like.

The baby has started moving around!  It's still very soft movements and only a few times a day, but they are movements!  It's fun to feel and experience, and Josh loves to try and catch it moving, but usually the baby stops right as he puts his hands on my belly - I think the baby thinks it's funny :)

This is finals week for our students, so as of Sunday at noon, I will not be an RD for the entire summer!  I'm super excited to move over and work for facilities this summer and see what that world is like.  I also get to help with the transition of two studio apartments into our new 2 bedroom apartment (anticipated move in - August 1), so I will enjoy being a part of that - Plus I like to control things, and this will help keep me happy.

Josh is venturing into the world of live sound - we just had a bunch of "gear" delivered yesterday so he can start his work going out and recording bands on the weekend.  You can ask him for details on the gear if you want...all I know is it makes him act like a kid in a candy store.   We're hoping this leads to some real opportunities for him.

Anyway, I guess that's as good an update as any.  Happy June-uary!  (It is way to cold to be JUNE! - summer needs to get here soon!)

Texas Wedding

We just got back from my brother Colin's wedding in Texas.  It was a beautiful wedding, but boy was it hot!  It got up to 98 degrees or so - yep, hot!  We did manage to take a few pictures, though, so I thought I would get those posted for you to see the belly progress.  Here is my 19 week belly shot:
Of course, we couldn't go to a wedding without taking a shot of both Josh and I together (Well, he was in the picture reluctantly, so this might be the only one you get of him)- isn't the sun pretty in this picture?  And he looks so good in a suit, too!  The jacket came off shortly after this picture was taken - Did I mention it was hot?

My niece, Hayley, served as a bridesmaid for the wedding and she was beautiful - I can't believe she is 12 years old - she looked so grown up and beautiful!

The next day, Josh and I took Hayley to Seaworld.  This pic of her was taken before I made the mistake of letting her sit in the "splash zone" at Shamu's show.  We did not get splashed - we got SOAKED!  But she loved it, so it was all worth it.

We had our 20 week ultrasound today - it went well, 10 fingers and 10 toes!  We'll post pics as soon as we can get them uploaded.

Inspired

Inspired by Colby and Kimmie starting a blog, I thought it might be a fun idea for Josh and I to have a blog too.

We just found out in February that we are expecting our first baby this October (October 20th!) and I thought it might be fun to document the process!  So far I've had morning sickness, which Josh says isn't that bad, because I didn't throw up that much - I disagree, I was queasy all the time!  But finally, I am starting to feel better and I have more energy!  Yay for the second trimester!
Anyway, today is Mother's day and I'm officially 17 weeks pregnant.  Here's a shot of my 17 week belly!  I finally started to pop last week, so we'll how much I grow!

Happy Mother's day to our three wonderful moms - thanks for all you have done for us!
